Casey Meurer

Casey Meurer is a Vice President of Nonfiction Original Programming at HBO Max. Based in Los Angeles, Meurer is responsible for developing and managing production of the streamer’s documentaries and docuseries including recent title such as What Happened, Brittany Murphy?; The Way Down: God, Greed and the Cult of Gwen Shamblin; Beanie Mania; Class Action Park; Gaming Wall Street; There Is No “I’ In Threesome; Not So Pretty; A World of Calm; 15 Minutes of Shame; Wahl Street; Eyes on the Prize: Hallowed Ground; Equal and Lucy the Human Chimp.

Prior to joining HBO Max in November 2019, Meurer was a creative executive at VICE Studios, where she developed and managed their nonfiction slate, including a documentary partnership with RYOT Films. In that role, she served as Executive Producer on Moments Like This Never Last (2020), co-producer on AKA Jane Roe (2020) and associate producer on three-time Oscar nominated FLEE (2021). Before making the transition to VICE Studios, Meurer worked in development at VICE’s cable network, VICELAND. In that role, she developed millennial-focused nonfiction series, including The Therapist, Bong Appetit, Hollywood Love Story and What Would Diplo Do? Meurer began her career at WME and is a graduate of Georgetown University, with a B.A. in Psychology, and minors in Film & Media Studies and Economics.
