Melissa Williamson joined Saloon Media, a Blue Ant Media company, in early 2020 to establish the scripted division in Toronto. At Saloon, she develops and produces premium half-hour comedies and one-hour dramas for Canada and the International marketplace.
Melissa has 15 years of experience creating, developing, financing and producing scripted and factual content for broadcasters and streaming services around the globe. Her credits include: the multi-season hit, The Beaverton (CTV, Crave), the award-winning MOW Jack (CBC), mini-series Keep Your Head Up Kid and Wrath of Grapes (CBC) and two seasons of Treasures Decoded (History, Discovery, Smithsonian Channel, France 5 and SBS).
Melissa began her career in Los Angeles with leading independent Blueprint Entertainment before joining Entertainment One’s scripted division in 2008. Before joining Saloon Media, Melissa was president of Toronto-based prodco Pier 21 Films.
