As Senior Director of Current Series for PBS KIDS, Tommy leads content strategy and editorial for the U.S. public broadcaster’s slate of children’s programs airing nationally on PBS stations and streaming free on the PBS KIDS apps for mobile and over-the-top platforms. Tommy oversees production for PBS KIDS – collaborating with producers, PBS station programmers, co-production partners, and distributors – on series including Odd Squad, Arthur, now celebrating its 25th season, Peabody-winning Molly of Denali and its companion podcast, and the new series Alma's Way.

Prior to his current role, Tommy served as Director of Children’s Programming for PBS, leading broadcast and rollout strategy for the national children’s service and the PBS KIDS 24/7 channel and live stream. In 2020, he won an Emmy for his work on the special “PBS KIDS Talk About: Race and Racism”.

Originally from eastern Kentucky, Tommy joined PBS in 2009 after stints at the U.S. Senate and NPR.
