Speaker Melanie Windle
Melanie Windle (BFA, MFA) is an award-winning producer, mentor, and media entrepreneur. She is the Executive Director of the Sustainable Entertainment Society, and Executive Producer of the Sustainable Production Forum, an annual world leading event that accelerates decarbonization and sustainability in arts and entertainment.
Prior to this, she served as Director of Industry Programming at Whistler Film Festival. Her favourite content from her filmography is the Carmilla Series and The Carmilla Movie, garnering over 100 million views on YouTube and an engaged worldwide fandom. Melanie is an alumna of the Banff Spark Accelerator for Women in the Business of Media, the Canadian Film Centre's – Producers' Lab, and the Short Dramatic Film Program.
