He went on to study dramatic literature at the University of Toronto, where he also majored in both Psychology and Criminology.

Alexander’s passion for heightened comedy led him to This Hour Has 22 Minutes, where he worked as a writer for two seasons. For his work on This Hour, Alexander was nominated for a Canadian Screen Award for writing on a sketch comedy/variety series. Nunez's other writing credits include Avocado Toast The Series, and CBC’s Moonshine. On Moonshine, Alexander both starred as Sammy Finley-Cullen, and wrote for the show's third season.
