Nick Borenstein is Head of Scripted for Topic, the new US-based streaming service from First Look Media. In this role, Nick is tasked with the creation, development and production of scripted programming including the Webby Award winning podcast "Missing Richard Simmons”, Emmy-nominated “AKA Wyatt Cenac”, Sharon Horgan’s “Down From London” and other original series including "Soul City”, "Still Life”, "Everything Is Okay”, “Losers" and the upcoming series “Release”. Prior to Topic, Nick was Vice President of Development for Hudsun Media where he developed, sold and produced numerous series for ABC, E!, Lifetime and Investigation Discovery. He also held roles at Pivot, Comedy Central, NBC, ABC and HBO. Additionally, Nick is a filmmaker, having written, directed, and starred in "Sweater" and “99”, two short films that screened at the Tribeca Film Festival, BFI London Film Festival, Outfest, Just For Laughs and many others.
