Kamen, a recipient of the 2018 Gotham Award, Smithsonian’s National Design Award and Mayor Mike Bloomberg’s “Made in NY” Award and won the Grammy for The Concert for George. He is the Vice-Chair of the board of trustees for the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) and sits on the boards of the Smithsonian Cooper Hewitt National Design Museum, The Museum of the Moving Image, and Mr. Holland’s Opus Foundation.
