As Director, Development – Scripted Programming for Entertainment One, Andrew develops scripted, prime-time content out of Canada for the global marketplace. He has set up and worked on series at ABC, CBC, CTV, CityTV, Global, CTV Sci-Fi, Showcase, Starz, SyFy, and The CW. While developing a dynamic slate of projects across various genres, Andrew scouts new stories, new voices, and new pieces of IP from a wide array of sources. He was instrumental in optioning and developing the CBC limited series Caught, produced by Take the Shot, and Burden of Truth, starring Kristin Kreuk and produced by ICF Films, now wrapped its third season at CBC. As part of eOne’s Scripted Programming team, Andrew helps cultivate, engage, and collaborate with both emerging and top-tier Canadian talent to deliver undeniable
programming to platforms and audiences worldwide.
Prior to joining Entertainment One as a Production Intern in 2011, Andrew graduated with a BA (Hons.) in Literature and History from Queen’s University in Kingston, followed by post- graduate work in Television Writing and Producing at Humber College in Toronto. After spending a year teaching abroad, Andrew returned to work on multiple features shooting in Toronto as a Producer’s Assistant.
Andrew is active throughout the Canadian television industry, sitting on the Advisory Committee for the Toronto Screenwriting Conference, and speaking on panels and juries at All Access Manitoba, Screen Nova Scotia, the Canadian Film Centre, WattCon, Humber College, and Ryerson School of Radio and Television Arts. He also remains an active champion of the local arts community, acting as Vice President on the Board of Directors for Players, a Toronto-based
theatre company that produces original musical comedies for charity.
In 2018, Andrew was named by Playback Magazine as one of their 5-to-Watch in Canada’s Film & Television Industry.
