Alison Wright is best known for her Emmy-nominated performance (Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series) as FBI secretary “Martha Hanson” on FX’s critically acclaimed series The Americans. Wright played double duty on FX last year, also starring in the networks Emmy- nominated anthology FEUD: Bette and Joan from Ryan Murphy.
She most recently appeared on stage as “Emilia” in Shakespeare in The Park’s production of Othello. Wright made her Broadway debut in the Tony-nominated play Sweat from Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Lynn Nottage. Prior to this, Wright also starred in the HBO film Confirmation which detailed the Supreme Court hearings for Clarence Thomas that were rocked by testimony from Oklahoma law professor Anita Hill. Alison played “Virginia Thomas”, Clarence Thomas' attorney, lobbyist and wife who stuck by his side throughout the scandal. In addition, she played a pivotal role in the Gavin O’Connor-Ben Affleck film The Accountant. Wright can currently be seen reprising her role as “Marjorie”, in the second season of Amazon’s hit series Sneaky Pete.
