Speaker Cynthia Kennedy
Cynthia Kennedy is the former Vice President, Distribution at Québecor Media, where she oversaw all international distribution activities of the group and brings Canadian content to audiences around the world. Producers and distributors within the group include Incendo, TVA Films, Québecor Content and TVA Distribution.
A native Montrealer with a 25-year track record in sales and senior management roles within international media companies, Cynthia started her career at Canadian animation company Cinar. She relocated to London, UK in 1998 and has contributed her deep expertise to several international television production companies and broadcasters such as the BBC, Channel 4 (UK), A&E (USA), Keshet (Israel) and ITV (UK).
In 2016 she moved to the Netherlands to work for John de Mol’s media enterprise Talpa. Throughout her career she has been responsible for international launches of iconic TV shows such as Homeland (Prisoners of War), Dancing with the Stars, The Office, and The Voice.
