Speaker Elfred Matining
Elfred is a queer, Filipinx arts and community organizer. As a consultant and facilitator, he connects people in dialogue to explore creativity, inclusion and capacity building in their organizational strategic planning.
With over 10 years of leadership experience, Elfred has worked with organizations like ArtStarts, Storyhive, DiverseCity, CMPA BC, the Canadian Academy of Film and Television, and Warner Bros. Discovery with a specific lens in anti-oppression and accessibility.
He graduated with a BFA from the Emily Carr University of Art & Design and a certificate in Business Management from the British Columbia Institute of Technology. Elfred has also sat on various advisory boards like the Kiwassa Neighbourhood House and the Arts and Culture Committee for the city of Vancouver.
He is currently based in Vancouver, BC on the unceded territories of the Musqueam, Squamish and Tsleil-Waututh First Nations.
