Vera Santamaria is a screenwriter working in both features and television. Most recently she was an Executive Producer on Hulu's critically acclaimed second season of PEN15. Her work can also be seen on Apple's upcoming star-studded female-driven anthology series, ROAR. Prior to this, she was a Co-Executive Producer on the final two seasons of Orange Is The New Black. She has worked on numerous other shows including the critically acclaimed BoJack Horseman, Schitt's Creek, Playing House and Community. Vera was born and raised in Toronto and began her career there, cutting her teeth writing television for teen and tween audiences. In Canada, she co-created and ran a series loosely based on her life, How To Be Indie, and wrote for shows like Degrassi: The Next Generation, Instant Star and Little Mosque on the Prairie.
