Andrew Johnson helps develop and commission factual programming for Corus channels HISTORY and Global. He has overseen programs such as Rust Valley Restorers, Cheating Hitler, Big Timber, History Erased, Fight to the Finish, D-Day in 14 Stories, Border Security, Hunting Nazi Treasure, Yukon Gold, and Ice Pilots.
Previously, he was Commissioning Editor of CBC Newsworld documentary series The Lens and Rough Cuts, Senior Producer of The Passionate Eye, Hot Type with Evan Solomon, and FutureWorld, which he created. He began his career in independent production and has won prizes as a Producer and Director, including a Peabody Award and several Geminis, as well as Banff Rockie and International Emmy nominations.
