Claire Urquhart is an Executive Producer and RTS-winning producer, with over 20 years experience creating primetime TV shows, documentaries and returning series for major broadcasters in the UK and Internationally.
Claire is the current Head of S4C International's Content Fund, which funds ambitious, Scripted and Unscripted shows that connect Welsh producers with global talent and have the potential for commercial or reputational success.
Claire has headed Development at some of the UK’s top production companies including BBC Features and Formats and Endemol/Shine, where she was responsible for hundreds of TV hours, multi-million pound commissions, creating new formats and spin-offs for some of the UK’s biggest television brands and on-screen talents, for broadcasters including BBC, Discovery, Sky, Nat Geo, Channel 4, PBS.
As a creative consultant she has helped to build slates, broker International collaborations, win commissions, & brand partnerships and major investment for start-ups.
Claire is a member of BAFTA, Women in Film and Television and PACT, and has trained aspiring TV professionals for the BBC Academy, University of West of England and groups who face barriers to entry in TV.
