Randy Pope is the Senior Vice President, Physical Production for Hallmark Media, home of three linear networks, Hallmark Channel, Hallmark Movies & Mysteries, and Hallmark Drama; and subscription video on demand streaming service, Hallmark Movies Now.
Based in Los Angeles, Pope reports to Lisa Hamilton-Daly, Executive Vice President, Programming. In this capacity, Pope is responsible for the full oversight of physical production of original series and movies for Hallmark Media. Working in tandem with Hamilton-Daly, he provides strategic and creative input, along with direction, to establish the vision for original programming. He is also charged with recommending program renewals, cancellations, and scheduling changes. Pope oversees every aspect of development from conception through post production and ensures production quality and adherence to established budgets and schedules. Pope also acts as a key liaison with the Hollywood community, cultivating relationships with content producers, directors, and writers, as well as talent representatives including agents and managers. In addition, Pope directly manages the development team.
Prior to joining Hallmark Media as the Vice President Of Programming in 2012, Pope was the Senior Vice President of Production and Development at Larry Levinson Productions. In this role, Pope supervised the production of over forty television movies, including oversight of concept development, script, and casting, as well as pre- and post-production. He also managed the company’s creative team, which was responsible for producing a robust schedule of up to 12 movies a year. Before joining Larry Levinson Productions, Pope was Senior Vice President of Production and Development at Sid and Marty Krofft Pictures.
Pope holds a bachelor of arts degree from California State University, Northridge.
