Kate Adler serves as Executive Vice President, Comedy Development, CBS Studios, a title she has held since 2013 after joining the studio in 2005.
In her position, Adler oversees the development of all comedy series for broadcast, cable and streaming. Titles she has helped develop include GHOSTS for CBS, the new FRAISER for Paramount+, THE NEIGHBORHOOD for CBS, and award-winning titles including DEAD TO ME starring Christina Applegate for Netflix and CW's CRAZY EX-GIRLFRIEND, among others.
Prior to CBS Studios, Adler served as a producer for CBS' SURVIVOR and CRIME & PUNISHMENT: REAL-LIFE LAW & ORDER for NBC. In 2002, she was a producer on the Oscar-winning documentary TWIN TOWERS, which told the story of the NYPD's Emergency Service Unit and their heroic acts on Sept. 11, 2001.
From 1997 to 2000, Adler was Vice President, Creative Affairs for Worldwide Pants Incorporated, where she supervised all new series development, casting and production on EVERYBODY LOVES RAYMOND and ED, and recruited writers for THE LATE SHOW WITH DAVID LETTERMAN and THE LATE LATE SHOW WITH CRAIG KILBORN. In 1994, Adler was Director, Comedy Development for Walt Disney Network Television where she developed shows for all six networks as well as served as Current Programming Executive on the daytime talk show, ELLEN.
Prior to Disney, Adler worked at Creative Artists Agency as an assistant to the head of the television literary department.
Adler received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Harvard University.
