Mary-Anne Taylor

Head of Content Distribution, Canada

Roku

Mary-Anne Taylor is the Head of Content Distribution Canada for Roku, responsible for building and nurturing content distribution partnerships with Canadian publishers and launching local channels diversifying content on the Roku platform. A seasoned entertainment executive with 20+ years of industry experience in studio content licensing, broadcast affiliate sales and operator channel management, Mary-Anne’s work has required an expertise in strategic negotiations across all business models and platforms. She began her career as a production technician and documentary project manager. Her passion for broadening Canadian content then led her to content acquisitions for Shaw Direct, and managing customer facing changes, including channel launches, for Rogers Cable. She shifted her career to distribution by leading Affiliate sales for TELETOON and Cartoon Network, and most recently as Director of Content Distribution Canada for Sony Pictures Entertainment. Mary-Anne has received scholarships to the Media Executive Management Program at Harvard Business School and Schulich School of Business and holds a degree in Radio & Television Broadcasting from Algonquin College, and a Theatre Arts degree from Sheridan College.
