Hayden Mindell is responsible for driving the strategy as well as overseeing the management and programming of Rogers Sports & Media's local and national news & entertainment television brands and platforms, including Citytv, Citytv+, FX/FXX, CityNews, CityNews 24/7 and CityNews 24/7 West, OLN, OMNI Television, and Rogers tv. As Senior Vice President of Television, Hayden's portfolio includes a robust suite of media assets including 30 local television stations, 3 video streaming platforms, 6 local newscasts, and 15 television channels.
With decades of experience in the Canadian broadcast environment, Hayden is highly respected among industry peers for his unique skillset of combining programming expertise with business acumen, with Citytv continuing to increase its audience share and revenue growth under his leadership.
He began his career at Rogers Sports & Media in 2001 and has since held a variety of senior leadership positions within the company. In his role, Hayden was instrumental in acquiring the acquisition of key network franchises for Citytv including Law & Order, One Chicago (Med / Fire / P.D.), and The Bachelor/Bachelorette, overseeing the development of hit original Canadian series – Hudson & Rex and Canada's Got Talent, and launching specialty channels FX and FXX in Canada.
