Julie Lacey is a Gemini Award-winning writer who brings two decades of experience in writing, production and development to Shaftesbury. In her role as VP, Creative, Lacey manages Shaftesbury’s extensive scripted drama development slate, with an eye to expanding the company’s international partnerships. At Shaftesbury, Lacey has produced 17 seasons of Murdoch Mysteries for CBC, UKTV, Acorn TV and ITV Studios Global; 3 seasons of Departure for Global/CorusEntertainment; 5 seasons of The Listener for CTV and Fox International Channels; and developed the psychological thriller series Lasher now available on AMC’s Shudder and Hollywood Suite. Lacey's writing and producing credits also include Due South, Power Play, The Zack Files, and Relic Hunter. Lacey is a member of the Writers Guild of Canada and the Academy of Canadian Cinema and Television.
