After graduating with a degree in Fine Art and Cinema, Sheri cut her comedy teeth writing for Disney/Fox and YTV, most notably co-creating I Was A Sixth Grade Alien, a surprise hit with college-age stoners. Victory!
She teamed with Lionsgate to create Beta Males for the CW and was a Supervising Producer on Defying Gravity for Fox Television Studios and ABC, during which time Sheri created The B-Side for NBC, Bagel Nation for ABC, The Bone House for the CW and the dark cable comedy Call Me Fitz, starring Jason Priestley, for HBO Canada and the Audience Network in the U.S. Call Me Fitz ran for four seasons, was broadcast in 142 international territories and is the recipient of multiple international awards, including the Directors Guild Award for Best Comedy (for all four seasons) and 27 Canadian Screen Award nominations and wins, including BEST COMEDY, BEST COMEDIC
ACTRESS, BEST COMEDIC ACTOR, BEST WRITING and BEST DIRECTION for Elwood.
Sheri went on to adapt the Steve Martin classic L.A. Story with UCP and Doug Liman’s Hypnotic Films, The Admissions, a dark family dramedy for eOne, the comedic feature film Besties (Alcon) in addition to Executive Producing and writing the 1-hr dramedy Lucifer for WBTV/Fox and Jerry Bruckheimer Films. Sheri is adapting David Cronenberg’s dark thriller Consumed for AMC and Serendipity Point, is in production with the 1-hr
espionage dramedy Whiskey Cavalier for ABC, Warner Bros TV and Doozer and, most recent, she created the 1-hr dramedy Feudal for CBC.
