Veena is an established television writer, director, and producer. She is best known for creating the Emmy nominated American television drama, The Killing. She also created the Emmy winning limited series “Seven Seconds” which debuted on Netflix last year. Veena came up as a new writer (and became a showrunner eventually) on CBS’ COLD CASE, and was a staff writer on the show Push, Nevada. In the feature space, she recently wrote and directed THE LIE for Blumhouse. Originally from Toronto, Veena is a graduate of Barnard and NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. She now resides in Los Angeles.
