Jon Bardin serves as Vice President, Documentaries and Specials for Discovery Channel and Science Channel. Recent projects include the Emmy® winning Sonic Sea, Emmy®-nominated Racing Extinction, Rancher, Farmer, Fisherman, First in Human, and Killing The Colorado.
Prior to joining Discovery Channel, Bardin co-founded The Public Good Projects, a non-profit production company that produces innovative media to make complex problems easier to understand so people can take better care of themselves and their families. He served as a producer for Sleepless in America, which aired on NatGeo.
Bardin earned his PhD in neuroscience from Weill Cornell Medical College, where he studied recovery from severe brain injury and disorders of consciousness. He is the recipient of a research fellowship from the National Institutes of Health, and has published papers in several scientific journals.
