Igal Svet is Senior Director, Development at National Geographic Partners. Based in New York City, Svet is responsible for the development and the greenlight of premium content in the forms of original series, specials and documentaries. Over the past year the National Geographic premiered sweeping original series and documentaries such as Mars, The Story of God with Morgan Freeman and the feature documentary Before The Flood. Previously, Svet served as Vice President, Development at 2C Media, the Miami-based production company behind Travel Channel’s Airport 24/7: Miami and Animal Planet’s Swamp Wars. No stranger to production, Svet was a Producer on several hit cable network series, including truTV’s Full Throttle Saloon and History Channel’s Top Gear. Svet was also an integral part of BBC Worldwide’s and Reveille LLC's development departments in Los Angeles, where he developed non-fiction projects for the global companies. Svet graduated magna cum laude from Boston University.
